Antique American Quilts

From $ 1,298.00

Quilt

These Antique American Quilts are made in the tradition of patchwork quilting, where small pieces of fabric are sewn together to create a larger whole. Each section is formed from different pieces of cloth, and layered together.

Patchwork quilting became especially widespread in nineteenth-century America, when households made use of fabric remnants, worn clothing, and printed yardage to create practical bedcovers.

Though different in construction from wholecloth quilts, these pieces share similar elements of handwork and stitching as our English Antique Quilts.

Because these are antique pieces, some may show signs of age, wear, or small imperfections from use, which are part of their history and character.

These quilts are final sale and cannot be returned.
