Mount Timpanogos has long been a familiar landmark in northern Utah, known for its dramatic height and the wide, open landscape that surrounds it. In this painting, the mountain is seen through warm golden hills and pockets of green, with darker shadow in the foreground adding contrast and depth. It feels like a study of the land around Timpanogos at the end of the day, when the light brings out all the warmth in the hills.

About the Artist: Trevor Howard discovered his gift for art early and has followed it ever since, studying art in college before beginning his career as an illustrator. Drawn to the beauty of the natural world, he paints with a simple palette and an impressionistic approach that captures the color, light, movement, and feeling of a place in a way a photograph never could.
