Traveling Chamberstick Set

These Traveling Chambersticks, or “Brighton Buns” as they were historically called, are portable candlesticks that explorers, officers, and even royalty carried with them from the 17th century into the early 20th century because they screwed together into a compact shape that fit easily in a trunk. When unscrewed, the two brass bases become a pair of candle holders you can set on a table or bedside.

Handmade and finished with an antiqued brass look, they bring a sense of history and thoughtful design to ordinary moments. They feel just as at home on a mantel today as they once did in the travelling kit of a long journey.
