Storytelling is at the heart of all successful artwork. As humans we are all attracted to good stories. In fine art we tell a visual story that conveys a message or invokes an emotion. As plein air painters we become deeply acquainted with a scene and tirelessly study it. It is through seeking to capture the fleeting moments in Nature, that marks the beginning of creating a work that is powerful and poetic. We strive to remember the story while we paint from life. And as we do we will maintain the message we hope to share with our viewers.
