Heritage German Advent Calendars

As a child, December could feel like one long wait for Christmas. Sometimes, even as adults, it still does. These German paper Advent calendars offer a little picture to uncover each day, with the sweetest vintage holiday illustrations.

Living Room and Children Decorating the Christmas Tree are A4 size, easy to mail in an envelope, and their reverse-side images glow when hung in front of a light, making them a lovely little surprise for someone far away. Moonlit Village opens into a three-dimensional scene, reprinted from 1955.
