Jane Austen Embroidery

Jane Austen Embroidery brings together 15 projects based on real patterns from Austen’s time, many of which she might have stitched herself. Jennie Batchelor and Alison Larkin have taken these 18th-century designs and reimagined them into things you can actually use today, from aprons and cushions to shawls and sewing sets.

Along the way, you’ll learn about life in Regency England, with quotes from Austen’s novels and letters, as well as little windows into the domestic world she knew. It’s part history, part craft, and a lovely way to spend time with needle and thread.
