Christian Vigilius Blache (1838–1920) was a Danish marine painter renowned for his vivid seascapes and coastal scenes. After studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Blache traveled extensively, capturing maritime life across Denmark, Scotland, Iceland, and the Faroe Islands. His works are characterized by their atmospheric qualities and meticulous attention to the interplay of light and water.
