These are some of our favorite albums for spring and summer. Spending summer evenings with my record player out on the lawn, enjoying a perfect summer picnic. Those are the kind of nights to remember.
A Few Album Reviews:
OMOIYARI: Each song is an elegant surprise: harps dancing in and around waves of strings like sunshine across the water. A carnival of rhythms for the melody-loving brain.
PARSLEY SAGE ROSEMARY & THYME: Take a trip to 'Scarborough Fair' and come back 'Home' with the soulful sounds of Simon & Garfunkel.
APRIL: An album full of whispers and gently unfolding melodies. Feels like a flower's bug opening gracefully to the light, her voice clear like sunshine through a crystal. A quiet, rhythmic walk through the park after dinner, or the lullaby of swinging on the porch in the long summer hours.
JOHN DENVER: This album creates a longing and belonging for a country life you can live through his melodies. A life full of thick warm air and summer smiles.
SOUNDS OF SUMMER: Sweet like a pina colada, summery like a beach ball bouncing on the waves. The Beach Boys place you immediately in the backseat of a convertible, cruising the Pacific Coast Highway with Orange County sunshine in your hair.
SOMETHING TO TELL YOU: Bright anthems for brave girls.
FOR EMMA FOREVER AGO: The plea and prayer of every soul. All of life's joys and sorrows and hopes are captured in these nine songs. Each song squeezes your heart, and stays with you for hours after.
