In the midst of the pandemic, our family hiked to Lake
Mary. As we climbed above civilization I was stilled by
how nature was busily going about its usual work,
blissfully unaware of the chaos taking place below.
It reminded me of the essentially holy nature of life, just as
it is, and how the essentials - work, play, love, service -
are never diminished by circumstance.
