The Ordination of Apostles
Renowned cubist artist Jorge Cocco describes the symbolism of his painting, "The Ordination of Apostles":
The selected pallet tone for this painting is sober, implying the intimacy of the event. The Lord, however, is intensely illuminated and it would appear that the light comes forth from him and not from any other source. This light is reflected on the ground almost converting it in a crystal. The sensation of being elevated, or floating, is a feeling I have experienced while performing sacred priesthood duties. I tried to represent that feeling in this painting.
