An adorable totem-pole of sorts, this hand-carved wooden figurine is inspired by a German tale.
"Town Musicians of Bremen" is a well-known fairytale that was recovered and recorded by the Brothers Grimm. It tells the story of four neglected animals, who are mistreated by their masters after a lifetime of work. The animals decide to run away to the city of Bremen, where they will become town musicians. Their plan never comes to fruition, however, as they manage to scare off a band of robbers during their travels, seize their loot, and move into their house.
A bronze statue of this same design was erected in 1953, and currently stands tall in Bremen, Germany. This piece will add a playful touch to any home. Place upon a shelf that needs a little something, or gift it to an older child to brighten up their toy collection.
