Moon Lake Wyoming by Francis L. Horspool

$ 3,000.00

Francis Horspool didn’t arrive at painting until age sixty. Before that, he held positions as a civil engineer, salesman, patent attorney, draftsman, fireman, and railroad man. He proudly proclaimed him style as “primitive,” and descried all other styles. Horspool had an interesting technique: he painted his pieces twice, the second coat painted right on top of the first, and then extended the paint over the frame, thus making the frame part of the picture.
